Travel to Minneapolis

We recommend flying into Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP), a 20-minute drive from downtown Minneapolis, and all the recommended accommodation options below.

Our wedding ceremony and reception will take place 15 miles west of Minneapolis in Wayzata, MN on Lake Minnetonka. A shuttle service from The Hewing Hotel (downtown Minneapolis) and Oakdale Elementary (Wayzata) will be provided on Saturday, July 20th for our guests. The Hewing Hotel

We recommend our wedding guests stay at The Hewing Hotel in the North Loop neighborhood of downtown Minneapolis. The Hewing will host the shuttle pick-up and drop-off service on Saturday. It is also only a 5-minute walk to the Welcome Party at Maison Margaux on Friday night.

Home to the iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry installation by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen.

One of the most visited and celebrated art museums in the country, the Walker Art Center is known for its innovative presentations and acclaimed collections of contemporary art. The sculpture garden at The Walker is free to attend. Highly recommend!

MIA is one of the largest art museums in the United States, housing over 90,000 works spanning 5,000 years of history. A unique exhibit at MIA is the period rooms collection, which features meticulously recreated historical interiors from different time periods and cultures.

The Swan Turnblad Mansion, completed in 1908, is where the museum is housed. The historic mansion was built by a Swedish immigrant and newspaper publisher. Visitors can explore its intricately designed rooms, adorned with exquisite woodwork, hand-carved details, and Swedish furnishings.
